The Holroyd Community Theatre has released its Autumn/Winter programme and it is full of celebrity faces every household will recognise including Ross Kemp, Sarah Beeny, Rick Stein, Jesse Armstrong, Shirley Ballas and Richard Armitage. This Autumn The Holroyd Community Theatre will see Dance, Music, Drama, Puppet Shows, Book Signings and much more.
Creative Director, Michael Jenkins said:
and it looks like the new programme is going to achieve this once again.
The venue is also hosting “Autism and Sea”, on Thursday 26th October. This is an immersive puppet show aiming to help children understand each other and create a more inclusive future. The performances are relaxed meaning the lights will be left on, the foyer will be available as a safe space and you can move around and make noise as much as you need to. We hope that these performances will be a welcoming and fun first theatre experience for kids. There will be two performances, 12pm and 3pm.
There is music to suit everyone’s taste. There will be a memorial concert by Porthywaen Silver Band and Wem Jubilee Band to celebrate the lives of Alan and Eileen Metcalfe and an evening with the rambunctious indie-folk band, Keston Cobblers Club.
The Holroyd Community Theatre is much more than a place to watch a show, it is also a place to take part, and get involved. The venue plays host to community initiatives such as Face2Face Performance Academy, North Shropshire Music, Buggy Walks, Buzzy Beats, Mother and Baby Yoga and more.
