Face2Face Performance Academy Celebrates Sell-Out Shows and Rave Reviews for Legally Blonde JR.

Face2Face Performance Academy, which takes place at The Holroyd Community Theatre in Weston Rhyn, is celebrating two sell-out performances of the much-loved musical, Legally Blonde JR.

Legally Blonde JR followed the journey of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who sets out to win back her ex-boyfriend by enrolling in Harvard Law School, only to discover her own potential and become a successful lawyer. Along the way, Elle faces various challenges and obstacles, including the prejudices of her peers and the doubts of her professors, but ultimately proves herself through hard work and determination.

Speaking following the production, Creative Director of The Holroyd Community Theatre and the show director, Michael Jenkins said:

“It never ceases to amaze me what our pupils can achieve. They tackle every challenge with commitment and produce outstanding results. This show was so much fun and I can’t wait to direct the next one.”

Aimed at pupils aged 9 – 18 the Academy offers weekly sessions in acting, singing and dancing and is none-selective, meaning that anyone can join without auditioning. The Academy benefits from taking place in a state-of-the-art, theatre.

Parent of an Academy pupil, Mrs Basu said:

“The academy’s recent production of Legally Blonde was astoundingly good and is a true testament to the passion and talent that both the team and young people have successfully brought together. I was absolutely blown away by the high standards of this performance.

“The Face2Face academy has been brilliantly supportive of my daughter since the very first day that she joined. Michael and the team are fully committed to supporting each and every one of their students, recognising their individual potential and giving them such fabulous opportunities to learn and develop their performing craft.”

Looking ahead to the Summer term, the Academy are moving into their ‘industry workshop’ term, which will see guest workshops from other industry professionals. Kicking the term off is Laura Harrison, an actor who recently performed the role of Elphaba in Wicked (West End).
