The Holroyd Community Theatre Transformed Into a Vibrant Celebration of Young Artistic Talent

The Holroyd Community Theatre, recently hosted the returning SATIPS (support and training in prep, primary and seniors schools) Art Exhibition. The theatre was transformed into an incredible gallery brimming with colour and outstanding creativity. With over 100 pieces of artwork from a huge variety of mediums and subjects, workshops and interactive displays, there was plenty to see, explore and experience.

Returning for its second year, the exhibition provided a valuable platform for young artists to showcase their work and gain recognition for their creativity and skill. The event played a crucial role in fostering educational excellence and supporting the arts within education across the UK.

      Creative Director, Michael Jenkins said:

The exhibition didn’t stop there – once closed to the public, local school pupils including Weston Rhyn Primary School and Criftins CE Primary School, were invited to engage with a variety of workshops. The theatre was filled with laughter and creative energy.

The art on display came from all areas of the UK, and therefore, as did the audiences, with people traveling from as far as Scotland and Ireland. One audience member commented:

”I just need to say what an utterly beautiful SATIPS exhibition it was. It is so colourful, and the vibe was uplifting. Amazing work, showing a huge amount of energy and creativity. It honestly was one of the most beautiful exhibitions I have been to.”

One of the artists, who visited to see their work on show added:

      “Best art exhibition ever!”

A parent of one of the artists traveled from London and added:

“Wonderful exhibition. We travelled from Hillingdon, West London, to see our daughter’s work from St. Helen’s College. Lovely experience.”

The SATIPS exhibition will be hosted at another Prep school next year. However, The Holroyd Community Theatre aims to continue using the space as a gallery, especially for young artists.
